Women in Education SIG: Empowering Through Mentorship: A Journey of Focus, Connection, and Commitment: 30 May

Join us for the culminating session of our Mentoring Series with ECIS. Throughout the academic year, we’ve delved into the core elements of effective mentoring, exploring topics such as defining a mentoring culture, creating opportunities for growth, and understanding the power of mentorship. Now, in this final gathering, we’ll bring it all together. In this session, we will FOCUS on the overarching themes that have emerged from our journey together, reflecting on how these themes resonate with our personal experiences and within our school communities. Through facilitated discussions and activities, we will CONNECT these themes to our successes, challenges, and areas for potential growth, fostering deeper insights into the impact of mentoring. Finally, we will COMMIT to future actions, whether it be personal development goals or site-specific initiatives, as we collectively envision a path forward in our mentoring journeys.

Takeaways for Participants

1. Focus: Participants will clarify their understanding of the core themes of the mentoring series and identify areas of focus for continued growth and development.

2. Connect: Participants will establish connections between the themes explored throughout the series and their own experiences, fostering a deeper appreciation for the role of mentoring in personal and professional growth.

3. Commit: Participants will make concrete commitments to future work, growth, and planning, both on a personal level and within their school communities, to further integrate and leverage the power of mentorship.
