This online seminar for educators and child protection teams, will focus on the risks, signs, and prevention strategies related to online grooming. It covers topics like recognising manipulative behaviors, understanding the digital platforms where grooming may occur, and the importance of maintaining boundaries with students. Teachers will be trained to identify warning signs, respond appropriately, and ensure a safe learning environment. The seminar also includes case studies and a platform for an open discussion around online grooming.

Sormeh Nikourazm is a safeguarding expert with nearly two decades of experience in child protection and education. She specializes in developing safeguarding frameworks, policies, and training programs at national and international levels. Sormeh holds advanced qualifications in Criminology and Safeguarding from UCL and London Guildhall University, with expertise in areas like FGM and sexual abuse.
Currently working at the International school of London, Sormeh has held key roles in government agencies, non-profits, HM Prisons, the NHS, and as a private investigator. Her international work includes projects in Portugal, Thailand, Nepal, and Türkiye. She frequently speaks at conferences, sharing insights on safeguarding trends and her research in faith, race, and cultural diversity. She received the Wellbeing Award for Schools in Ealing for her impactful work in student wellbeing, making a significant difference in the lives of children and families.
