Teaching reading is a key skill for learning and an essential skill for life.  In the modern world, it is important that all teachers see themselves as teachers of reading.  For example, if you are a teacher of science, then you need to teach students to read like a scientist.

In this session, we will explore what great readers do and consider how teachers can develop reading in their context. From unpacking vocabulary, to learning about active approaches to reading, this workshop will support teachers to develop expertise in teaching reading.
