Embodied and Outdoor Learning
About us
VALUES
The ECIS Embodied & Outdoor Learning Special Interest Group connects educators interested in exploring how movement, nature and authentic real-world contexts can support future-oriented competences.
The group focuses on how outdoor and embodied learning environments may foster collaboration, critical thinking, creativity, resilience, wellbeing and environmental responsibility.
MISSION AND PURPOSE
We aim to support an international network of educators interested in integrating outdoor learning into everyday educational practice.
By connecting teachers, researchers and practitioners, the group seeks to share practices, develop new pedagogical approaches, and strengthen the role of experiential and outdoor learning in preparing young people for life in the 21st century.
