This 2-day professional learning experience is focused on the strategic integration of AI and digital tools in education. “AI and Digital Fluency for Middle Level Leaders” explores the digital competencies necessary for leadership in an international school setting. Given the accelerated changes in the digital world impacting us both professionally and personally, the course supports middle-level leaders to creatively and critically leverage digital environments and tools, including artificial intelligence, to enhance their leadership capacity.
Throughout the course, participants will explore key digital literacies and practical applications. Attendees will also delve into strategies for effective digital communication, collaborative workflows, and digital tool utilization, emerging from the course with the skills to navigate their roles as adept ‘digital fluency leaders.’

- ABOUT THE PRESENTER
- John Mikton brings three decades of experience in education and media technology, currently serving as Digital Learning Facilitator at the International School of Geneva – La Châtaigneraie. With a career spanning leadership role such as IT Director, Director of eLearning, Head of Education and Media Technology, and Deputy Principal, John has worked in international schools across Africa, Asia, and Europe, always with a focus on integrating digital fluency into meaningful teaching and learning practices. John is an experienced facilitator and trainer, currently a Course Facilitator with the ECIS Middle Leader Certificate Program, supporting aspiring middle leaders to develop essential leadership competencies. John is also a trainer and course designer at the Principal Training Center, and coach for the Faria Education Group, guiding teams in enhancing digital strategy and leadership. As a co-host of the International Schools Podcast, John contributes to conversations on innovation and leadership in international education.
