Is your library’s digital front door truly open to everyone? This session presents a practical toolkit and “quick-win” strategies to help you dramatically improve the accessibility of your library websites and LibGuides for all users. Libraries have a professional and ethical imperative to ensure our digital foundations are inclusive. Our library websites and LibGuides are often the primary “place” where patrons interact with our resources, yet many of these digital spaces are inadvertently filled with barriers for users. This short session moves beyond the theory of “why” accessibility is important and provides a practical toolkit for “how.” It is designed for busy librarians who may not be web designers and who are looking for a concrete starting point.
