Developing All Students as Leaders: A Framework for Creating Customized and Complementary Initiatives: 06 March
Facilitated by the ECIS Research Informed Schools Special Interest Group
Adult leadership development is a multibillion-dollar industry, yet youth leader development efforts remain significantly under researched and rudimentary. Many schools tout student leader development as a programmatic outcome but do not examine their efforts with the same rigor as other curricula. This presentation bridges the gap between what is known about leadership development and how schools can advance their efforts through integration with existing programs. A simple flexible blueprint for youth leader development will be shared which can be customized for both individuals and organizations.
