#ISLECISLoft – Who’s Doing the Thinking? 25 November 2026

16:00 (London time)

Children today are growing up with AI already part of their world, Alexa in the kitchen, a parent talking to a chatbot in the car, or an app that always has an answer ready.

More and more, that same AI is stepping into how children think. Who is doing the thinking?

John will bring some frameworks and practical questions he has been trying with schools, and we’ll think it through together.

Takeaways for Participants:
– A simple way to talk about this with colleagues or parents, when a skill gets weaker versus when it never gets the chance to form
– A question or two to try with children, to notice who’s really doing the thinking
– A framework to take away and try in your own classroom, no fixed answers, just something worth testingPresenter
